I am a freelance floral designer and crafts enthusiast living in Collie, Western Australia.

Having studied at Challenger Tafe, Bunbury with Eileen Wenn as my lecturer and also completing my traineeship at Collie Floral Studio with Kiri O'Brien as my employer, i then proceeded to study and work in the floral design industry all over Australia whilst travelling.

I have recently decided it would be easier to share my portfolio as an online blog.

 It works as an easily acceptable way to share all of the bridal work, functions, events and unique designs i have created for clients in the past plus everything i am working on currently and ideas for future work.

​

I would also like to use this blog to show you the other side of floristry that often isn't talked about. This will include the good, the bad and the damn straight uglyyyyyyyy. The blood, tears and tantrums that are involved, the sleepless nights, the hurdles we are faced with on a daily basis and of course all the good bits that are involved in our industry as well.

​

If i had a dollar for every person who said "oh you have such a pretty job! it must be so easy playing with flowers all day " then i would be rich enough to own my own florist with a million people working under me and would probably get to sit back with a cider in one hand admiring my bunches of flowers around me. BUT I DON`T, obviously.

​

Now before you have a read please understand that i am not going to try and prove you all wrong and i am most definetly not writing this as a "poor us" blog at all. It is more of a please understand what goes on behind the scenes and stop complaining about how expensive god dam wedding flowers are sorta thing.  

​

I hope you enjoy the brutal honesty of my posts and get a good laugh out of it all.
